COCONUT BREAD
This month’s recipe is an old favourite of mine that is curiously addictive. I don’t make it often because I can’t stop at just 2 slices. It’s perfect for a Sunday morning tea or late afternoon tea. Best served with something sharp like lime curd or even marmalade.

I am very, very excited, spring bulbs have arrived at Newtons! I have been waiting for the arrival of these little nuggets of joy for the longest of times and now they are finally here. We have four varieties available - Tulips, Hyacinths, Narcissi (Daffodils) and Muscari.

The recent cyclone and flooding has made a couple of things a bit clearer to me, the first is how lucky we have been to live in a country for so long that is able to produce so much of its own food. And secondly, just how much we have undervalued many of our food producers.

They are versatile, cheap and you can do so much with them.
