ROASTED TOMATO SALAD WITH SHERRY VINAIGRETTE
This month I have a recipe from my lovely sister, Nataszha who is also a superb cook, businesswoman and a pretty good gardener too! It's perfect for this time of year when you have a surfeit of tomatoes and can be used on top of bruschetta, through pasta, or as a simple accompaniment to BBQ'd meat, fish or chicken.
NEWS & TIPS FOR DECEMBER 2021
As Auckland finally opens again some of us will feel ecstatic, while others will be very nervous. Whatever camp you find yourself in, 2020-21 has been a truly remarkable period and I think we are now all changed in some way, whether it be for good or ill. So, it’s a good thing that Christmas is almost upon us because it gives us something to think and talk about, other than the pandemic!
COURGETTE GRATIN
Continuing with my theme of courgettes or zucchini, this month's recipe comes courtesy of Suzanne Goin and is perfect for a hot summer's evening. Serve with fresh bread and a plateful of salad leaves (lightly dressed).
NEWS & TIPS FOR OCTOBER 2021
It’s probably the busiest time in the garden right now - lots of fertilising and seed sowing work to get done. Although if you are a bit behind, there is still plenty of time especially for those veges that need to be started inside in seed raising trays like tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant and pumpkin.
