Elephant Garlic

Elephant is a hardy, mild, smoky flavoured garlic that produces very large easy to peel cloves.

It is ideal for roasting or eating raw. It grows 4-6 cloves per bulb.

Plant cloves in  Autumn in fertile, well drained soil, 4-6 cm deep, 15 - 20 cm apart. Remove flower stalks to ensure energy goes into the bulbs. Harvest mid summer when the bottom leaves turn brown. Store in a cool dry place.
