Tall Fescue

Tall fescue grass is a cool-season variety that also enjoys warm weather.

Tall Fescue is a coarse-leaved bunch-type species with a very deep root system, making it extremely tolerant of heat and drought.

This variety is genetically dark green and develops into a dense, highly attractive fescue lawn. It performs best when mown at a higher cut of around 50-75mm.

Tall Fescue Lawn Cons

• Tall fescue seeds grow best when sown in warmer conditions than other cool-season grasses, ideally with soil temperatures above 15 degrees.
• Tall fescue lawns need a higher mowing height than many other grasses, as cutting too low increases the need for fertiliser and water.
