Timothy

(Phleum pratense L). Timothy is a high quality perennial that's very palatable to stock even when seed heads appear (which is a little unusual). Because it's palatable and a poor competitor - it can easily get grazed out. Really does like the cooler regions and heavier soils, but will have a go in most spots. A low sugar cow favourite. Looks like a weed but we call it a herb.
